Wonderful news!!

Yeah!!! I just had to post this because I am soooooo excited!!! I PASSED BIO-MECHANICS!!! Uhh I hated that class so much! If my teacher had given me the option to get some disease like Ebola and if I survived the disease I would pass the class, I would have gladly taken that option.

But my teacher didn't give me that option so I had to suck it up.  And don't you worry as soon as I took my final I bolted out the doors and screamed "GET OUT OF MY LIFE!!!" and I may or may not have done a little happy dance =D

Christmas Trees

Over Thanksgiving break my mom asked me if I would help her put up her Christmas trees and I said sure.

It started out with the windows....

Then a little TLC was given to the trees

Wild Rice and Chicken Soup

Since the temperature was suppose to dip into the single digits last night, I thought why not make a soup? It started out fine, and then everything just went wrong.

I don't think soup is suppose to stick like that...

It sort of had the consistency of brick mortar

It actually didn't taste that bad, but it sure was thick going down.

It's Official.....

Hell has frozen over!! Brian has decided that at night we can turn on our furnace so we don't freeze to death.

I think the turning point was when our furnace turned on by itself because our apartment got too cold.

The lowest setting on the furnance is 50 degrees.

In the Hundered Acre Woods

Dear Mr.Sir downstairs,

We haven't met but I am your upstairs neighbor. When your hear those big clunks on your ceiling, don't worry, that is probably just me dropping/tripping over something. I am sorry about those noises but this letter isn't about me, it's about you.

I don't know if anyone has ever told you but your laugh sounds like a mix of a dying goat and goofy. Now this wouldn't normally be a problem, but you seem to giggle and snort at all the wrong times.  Say like 12:30 A.M when I'm trying to get my beauty sleep and when I'm startled awake because I think a goat is dying. Then I realize it is just you and I try to picture what it would be like to run you over with my bicycle. Now I'm not a violent person per se, but you see what your laugh is doing to me?

Also, I love Disney songs just as much as the next person does. But when you decide to sing:

"Winnie-the-Pooh, Winnie-the-Pooh, Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff. He's Winnie-the-Pooh. Winnie-the-Pooh. Willy, nilly, silly, old bear"

At the top of your lungs at 6:00 in the AM, it sort of makes me not only want to barf on you 5 times, but also dress you up in a BYU outfit and let you loose in the Spectrum and let them tear you to pieces.

I hope this won't affect our neighborly relationship!

Sincerely,

Me, From Upstairs

Pumpkins

I started begging Brian around the first of October to let me carve a pumpkin.

He just told me to be patient.

So last weekend my patience paid off and I got to carve not just one pumpkin but two!!!

Here is my witchypoo

Brian carved a ghost

And my spider that is missing something..

Yeah for whoever came up with carving pumpkins!

You've got mail

(I had just finished working out when this pictures was taken, so ignore my nastiness)

This is what happens when you don't check your mail box for a while.

None of it was actually for us. Most of it was just junk mail and 3 letters were for somebody else in our apartment complex.

YBU

I would just like to say right here and right now, if you didn't already know Brian and I dislike BYU.  So when the Aggie football team rolled over the Bougars last Friday it almost brought tears to our eyes!

It was like Christmas came early and it was better than getting a pony.  Not gonna lie it was a thing of beauty.

As Austin Collie, a former BYU player, said "Obviously, if you do what's right on and off the field, I think the Lord steps in and plays a part in it. Magic happens."

This blog was written by Brian...

Yeah, that's what this blog is about.

Lindsey is working part time at the HYPER Building here at USU.  The HYPER is basically the athletic center, along with the Field House.  So she is exposed to a lot of athletic programs will at work.  One of the programs is called Fun, Fit, For Life.  It's basically classes you can attend and work out for an hour.  Some of the classes include dance, yoga, core workout, and spinning.

Once Lindsey learned about this program she immediately wanted to join in the fun.  She came home and let me know very subtely about her interest.  Eventually I said that we could try it out, but I had a few reservations.  All I could picture was an environment like the one featured in this video:

I have been road biking all summer with my dad so I figured spinning would be a good place to start.  So last night we went over to the Field House to join the class.  There were several people already in the exercise room.  The instructor was a little late, apparently because he was a substitute for the normal guy.  He was an interesting guy, I don't think anyone in the class could really tell what his preference was.  This made for an uncomfortable situation when he went around the class and adjusted the machines for everyone while mentioning to me to make sure my seat was correctly positioned to protect my groin.  Then he decided he was too far away from the class and needed to move his machine closer.  Of course he then moved his machine directly in front of me so we could stare at each other for the next hour.  Eventually we started biking and the European techno music began.  The workout began fine, but then the instructor decided to really get into it and sing along over the microphone.  Luckily, this didn't last long but kept occurring randomly over the next hour.

After the work out was over we did a few stretches.  At this point Lindsey said she wasn't feeling too good and sat down.  After awhile she got up, but she was still feeling wierd.  The instructor suggested that we walk around the track a little to cool down.  So we started walking, but Lindsey started to wobble a little and then bolted out a side door.  I followed her outside and found here throwing up in a bush.  She ended up throwing up five times.    Luckily we were right next to one of the busiest intersections on campus.

It wasn't all bad though.  Lindsey thought it was kind of funny because of something we saw a few days earlier.  We were walking though a parting lot and a kid threw up across the parking lot.  The kid had some force behind it, so we had been joking about projectile vomiting ever since.  Little did we know...

Eventually we got Lindsey home and she started to feel a little better.  So our first Fun, Fit, For Life experience was a huge success.  But now that Lindsey has recovered she has decided we are going back next week.

Me vs The Sprinklers

So there I was.....sprinklers everywhere!!

I hate the sprinklers in the cemetery! It seems like they are always on and I am at war with them! As of now the Sprinklers are 7 and I am now up to 3!!

It all started the other day as I was riding my bike to class. I was minding my own business, just thinking about everything I needed to get done for the day, when I noticed all the sprinklers. It was too late to take another path so I just thought "I can outsmart the sprinklers."

I rode up to the first one and waited for it to pass the road. As it passed I scooted on right up to the next one and started waiting patiently for it to pass the road. That's when the one I had just passed snuck up from behind me and got me wet. It was such a shock that I pushed forward on the bike peddle, and since I was so close to the sprinkler it pushed me through it.  By this time I was already pretty wet, and there were 3 more sprinklers to go. So I just said to heck with it and  peddled as fast as I could through the rest of the sprinklers and ended up sloshing into my class.

Wicked Witch of USU

When school first started, I had to walk through the cemetery.  It took me about 10-15 minutes to walk to class. I didn't mind it that much because it was a very peaceful walk.  But ever since Brian's parents brought us bikes, I realized what I was missing out on.  Not only is it good exercise, but it only takes me 5 minutes to get to class now!

Brian thinks it's creepy that I like to ride through the cemetery, so he says my new theme song should be the song about the wicked witch of the west.......

Weeeeerrrre Baaaack!

It's offical.......Brian and I live together again!!!

After living apart all summer, we are finally living under the same roof!  I'm not going to lie it  has been a little weird. For one I have to get used to sleeping with a bed hog again. Also, he makes me eat food other than just cereal....but I suppose that's a good thing!  And poor Brian, he has to put up with all my girly smells, like lotion, fingernail polish, and hairspray.  He also has to deal with the fact that my hands are usually little ice cubes and I like to put them on his neck or stomach to get them warm!!

But all in all, we are glad to finally be back together!

He Loves me..... He loves me not.....

HE LOVES ME!!!! Brian is amazing (but I will get to that a little later)

I kind of......Ok I don't kind of, I DO complain about the things in my apartment not matching. It's hard not too though when I go into all my married friends home's and they have it decorated all cutesy and everything matches. You walk into our apartment and it feels like you are back in the man cave at college.  But after being away from the place we called home, I've come to realize that's what makes it special. It makes if feel kind of homey in a weird way and I love that it!

So back to Brian being awesome... A couple months back he was complaining about how he didn't feel like a man because he hadn't built anything for a while. So I said "why don't you build us a kitchen table." He kind of rolled his eyes at me, but asked what kind of table I wanted. I said square and I wanted something that would one day match my kitchen. So I showed him my kitchen towels with the colors that I liked. He didn't really say much more and I thought he had forgotten about it.....

But look what he made me for our anniversary!

A kitchen table!!!*sigh* Isn't he amazing!?!?!?!?

Love Story

There once was a boy.......

Who fell in love with the girl next door.......

He decided to impress her with his studliness and took her on lots of fun adventures.......

But before he could ask her to be his forever and ever....he had once last test for her to pass...it was the "How does she handle picking up a dead mouse" test.....

She passed with flying colors and he popped the question....

6 months later they were married in the Bounitful Temple....

Trash

After running around all day at Cisco's, we get a little tired by closing time. And since they moved the dumpster to the other side of the parking lot, and we are all dead tired, we have to come up with good ways to take out the trash.....

Parades and Fireworks

This 4th of July I got to start it off by watching the parade in Woodruff. I love this parade because its a "twofer." If you missed anything the first time....don't fret it turns around and comes back so you can see it a second time! My little niece Hattie (the one in the white pants) beat out all the other girls and was the Woodruff Jr. Princess. My other niece Taylee (the one in the red pants) did the same thing except she is Princess for Randolph. One of my fav pictures is the bottom right one....you can see Taylee throwing me lots of candy! Also, the float in the middle was, by far, the best float in the parade! Chuck Huffaker was the driver, and he decorated one of his little tractors with sagebrush, trees, and deer heads. But he was smart about it and put the trees up in the perfect position for him to get lots of shade. We also saw Mater from the movie Cars!

I was a little sad that I couldn't stay to watch the rodeo but I had to go to work. Nothing exciting happened but Dillon decided he was going to watch the fireworks that night out on the lake and invited all of us to go with him.

Tauni, Natalie, and her fiance Kevin (sorry about the fuzziness but I took this in the dark while the boat was moving)

Whitni and Dillon

Brian and Me

Sadly I didn't get any pictures of the fireworks, but I did get this picture.......

*sigh* I love the lake!

USU

Brian and I walked around campus the other day. There are lots of cool things around but here are some of the highlights..
Old Main. Brian still can't belive I have gone to USU for 3 years and one summer and I have NEVER had a class in Old Main!! I've had class on old main running up and down the stairs and hills, but never inside the building.

The Amphitheater where Brian witnessed a guy propose to his girlfriend and she ran off the stage crying leaving him on bended knee in front of the whole audience.

USU has the most random sculptures ever! Here is Abraham Lincoln's Head, and George Washington's isn't too far away. What they have to do with USU I have no idea. I don't have pictures of the others but we can't forget the sculptures of yellow pillars that look like a bunch of french fries, the Indian goddess sculpture, the mountain man, and many more random shapes and faces.

Speaking of random....Here's just one of the exercise/jogging course stops that are spread out around campus.

 The A

 The Bull

And the best for last...... The place where all the magic happens,

And for your viewing pleasure some of the things that go on in the spectrum.

Lucky

I love Cisco's Landing!! This is my fifth summer working there, and I can't get enough of it!

Even when something like this happens.....

We were lucky that they turned, or they probably would have hit the gas dock. We were also lucky that no one got hurt!

A little girl time

The little girls and my mom came over Monday to hang out with me. We had tons of fun, and the sun was even out so it made it that much better!  We went to first dam, ate lunch and fed the ducks our leftovers. The girls then decided they needed to work off their lunch and wanted to go for a hike/walk. So we walked along the river path.

Aren't these girls just the cutest?!?!

Being silly with Grandma (Hattie doesn't like to be silly)

The girls got bored a little bit into the walk, so we played a game my mom always played with me when I was little...Hide and go seek! My mom and Hattie were on a team and me and Taylee were on a team. Taylee spotted the other two almost every single time and I couldn't see anything so it was a good thing she was on my team.  There were also other people on the path so when Taylee and I would jump in the bushes the people would look at us like we were crazy, and then one time my mom and Hattie went past us. So Tay and I were trying to get up a little hill where we hid and these ladies saw us coming out of the bushes and were like "Oh my gosh are you girls ok? What happened? Can we help?" and we were like "Nope just playing hide and go seek" and the ladies gave us a look like we were crazies.

Cheese!

Trying not to fall into the "crocodile" infested water

We also saw some cute baby ducks. And there were no turtles to attack them!!!

After the walk we decided to go to the Willow Park Zoo. I hadn't been to the Zoo since I was little and it reminded me of rollerblading up and down the bus isle's and my friend almost getting her hand taken off by a Turkey!

I think I could take care of one of these!

Lots of these pretty birds floating around

These are the things my nightmares are made off! Just look at the size of that beak!

Beautiful Creatures!
